In 2016 I founded Ula McCarthy PR, an independent agency specialising in the promotion of restaurants, chefs, bars and events. I wanted my agency’s name to make clear from the outset that my clients could expect both a personal and individually tailored service, so after much deliberation I decided to use my own. During my time spent working for some of London’s top PR agencies, I often found that clients preferred a personal 1-on-1 approach when promoting their ventures, and this is something I pride myself on delivering consistently since setting up the agency.
I am hugely passionate about my work; helping a restaurant or bar grow from an idea to a busy and successful business is an absolutely priceless feeling that continues to inspire me. I deliberately work with a manageable roster of clients at any one time, allowing me to guarantee each one the bespoke attention they deserve and I ensure that I am there to provide guidance and help every step of the way.
